The walk is around Hackney Marshes and Daubeney Fields. We will stop off for tea and play in the adventure park and some other great spots! All families will receive a map of the walk and an Outdoor Family Journal to record memories of your outdoor adventures. 

To celebrate London becoming the World's first National Park City we're inviting the whole community to connect with the wild nature in the middle of Hackney. Enjoy urban foraging, Wild Walks, free massages, nature crafts, micro-raft racing and more...

We are super excited to announce that Hackney Council has awarded Outdoor People funding for another Wild Walks programme! This programme will run from October 2018 through to March 2019. We are calling for families to join us on monthly walks around the Hackney borough to explore, find places to play and connect to our gorgeous (slightly) wild places!

We are very excited to announce that this Spring Outdoor People are teaming up with Sam Lee’s Nest Collective and Green Farm Kent at this year's Singing With Nightingales to offer up to 10 of the visitors a camping treat.

 This event will be a spellbinding night of fireside folk music celebrating the lyrical magic of the nightingale... a unique chance to enjoy birdsong and folklore deep in one of England’s most beautiful woodland spots. 

Discover the ducks, docks, nooks, nature reserves, streets and secret spots of Southwark.

WHEN: Sunday 19th Nov @ 1030AM.
MEETING PLACE: Outside Sainsbury’s (30 - 32 Surrey Quays Road, London SE16 7ED), just by Canada Water station (Jubilee & Overground lines - take the 3rd ‘business parks’ exit).
WHAT: A walk around the flat, nature-y areas of Southwark, approx 4-5km.
WHO: Adventures for children and adults of all ages (all children must be accompanied by an adult). Due to the distance (approx 4-5km), it’s advisable to bring a pram for babies and toddlers.
COST: Free! But bring a little money for a warm cup of tea or spot of lunch afterwards.
