This website is predominantly about our shop, so you can buy the outdoor gear you want online and know it supports our projects!
You can find out more about the OPAL Primary Programme our fabulous Sandpit service and Schools Shop and advice and tips for getting children outside by clicking on the 'Schools' tab at the top. We are so proud to deliver this amazing programme, developed by Michael Follett almost 20 years ago, across East London and East Kent. As OPAL mentors, we work in a network of providers across the UK and beyond. If your school is wants great playtimes every day, do request a free introduction.
We are also proud to be the ONLY non-profit outdoors store in the UK, with every purchase helping us to get more children outdoors through our projects and campaigns.
If you would like advice on how to get outdoors more, and you live in East London, this is just the place to come. We are in the heart of Hackney!
In store too we regularly update our rail of 'Go Greener gear, which is less than 35% of the original price. This gear was donated by Marmot or Vango as ex-warranty or ex-display, refurbished by us and then sold to you to rause money for our projects. Win-Win.
We have free Wild Walks maps on the website and in the shop and we host Wild Walks regularly from the shop or around Hackney.
