Ella Foote is a year-round outdoor swimmer and swim writer, writing regularly for the Outdoor Swimming Society and Outdoor Swimmer. Outspoken on body image, body positivity and mental health, she is a champion of enjoying a swim - whatever your shape or size. In Summer 2018 she spent a fortnight touring Scotland in a VW camper van looking for undiscovered swim spots and every December she runs A Dip A Day - enjoying a wild, winter swim every day to raise awareness for mental health charities.
Rosie Cook is the Founder & CEO of body positive swimwear brand Deakin and Blue. Rosie founded the brand after learning that 500,000 women had given up swimming and 1 in 2 mums had stopped taking their child to learn to swim, because of body image concerns. Deakin and Blue design and manufacture swimwear designed to feel incredible on and their costumes are worn by channel swimmers and head-up breast-strokers alike. Every piece is made from regenerated fishing nets and sustainably produced in East London.
Cath Prisk is Founder of Outdoor People, expert paddler, ex-teacher and advocate for children, play and the outdoors. In particular she has just researched and written the global review of why kids need to be outdoors, Muddy Hands, for the the global Outdoor Classroom Day. She has always loved swimming and is inching towards cold water swimming one toe at a time... She'll lead our discussion for everyone joining - how can we make swimming normal?
Tickets are £8 and include London Fields Lido swim entry, a mulled wine and minced pie, film swimspiration and discussion. You'll leave inspired, with new ideas of where and how to swim around London and beyond. Tickets here.
