When my last sleeping mat bit the dust, I set about looking for a replacement. There’s a whole range of different sizes, shapes, materials on the market… so what should you be looking for?

Why do we love the Trakke Assynt rucksack? It’s not just the immaculate design and attention to detail – both good things, for sure. More than anything it’s Trakke’s production ethic, which fits perfectly with our own outlook on sustainability.
I use my Assynt every day, and it shows. After a couple of years of being hauled around city streets, left on the sticky floor of various pubs and being packed to bursting on long wilderness hikes, it’s developed an authentic lived-in look. So I've taken this Grand Trunk One-Made hammock on every trip I've been on for over a year now so I can safely say I've put it through its paces. Here are my thoughts on it... 'It's great!'
This hammock shines in terms of its size and weight. When its set up, its massive, both long and wide, but packs down really small, smaller than a Nalgene water bottle small. It's super light weight.
