The PlayWorks Studio, formerly Assemble Play, has been offering beautiful, welcoming play across the Kings Cross area for many years. If you have ever seen something like this, then that was The PlayWorks studio! Magical. Child-centred. Staffed with professional playworkers who know how to bring a space to life.

Playful Anywhere have been putting Playboxes into city centres, between buildings and at the heart of communities for over ten years. Bringing together loose parts, conversations, art and connection. The Playbox is just the start. It is up to you, the community, to decide what happens next.
Outdoor People are providing the project's foundations, ensuring we can recruit playworkers, host volunteers, get the Playbox on site, and listen to the community. We are a non-profit set up to make it easy to get outdoors for children and families. We lead Family Wild Walks, adventures for children to take their grown-ups on. We help over 200 schools across London and Kent make their playtimes amazing. We are based in a camping shop in Hackney Central. We do research, campaign and help grassroots organisations and schools bring play projects to life.
Our Chief Explorer, Cath, our Community Development Manager, Bay and our lead Playworkers, Claire and Annie, are here to help set up this project, and are looking forward to working with the families that join us, the playworkers, all the local community organisations and the funders, Camden Council, to develop this space.
