On a bright autumn day, we gathered at the Garden of Earthly Delights in Hackney to learn the magic art of recycling palletts into a bench, and thereby learn all the basic skills needed to put together a mud kitchen, a boat or some scrappy furniture to really bring playgrounds, gardens and communial spaces to life!
Thanks go to the fab folks from the Woodshop of Recycled Delights who ran the workshop, and to the participants who joined in with huge enthusiasm.
Here are some pictures from the day, mainly to remind us of the sequence, the tools and - with a bit of know how and cofidence - just how easy it was!
