Wednesday 5 August 2026 is Playday, the national day for play.
Celebrated across the UK each year, Playday calls on families, community leaders, play providers, childcare settings, and everyone working with children and young people to promote and champion the importance of play.

This year, we're inviting you to join us to play at Playbox Somers Town! And make sure you play all the way there and back too!
Celebrate with us on Wednesday 5th August 12pm-5pm at Playbox Somers Town
From 12pm-3.30pm we'll have our usual daily play session at Playbox - with some extra special surprises! - and then we'll be joined by Camden Council to celebrate the opening of Polygon Open Space (a fantastic place for play!) and to hear about upcoming plans for the area. There will be snacks and a smoothie bike from 3.30pm-5pm!
