March Wild Walk

We'll be exploring the secret spaces of Hoxton and Haggerston, to find a giant snake and a mysterious stone circle.

Meet at the Haggerston Overground Station (Lee Street, E8) on Sunday 15 March 11am. Please bring a railcard/oyster as we’ll be travelling one stop on the train.

An adventure for children to take their parents on... a little explore of Hackney's heartland with time to play, notice Nature and connect.

It’s a stressful time right now with news being updated all the time, but our children will learn from us that one of the best ways to boost their immune systems and to reduce their stress levels is to just get outdoors, make friends and explore. On this walk, led by the campaign director for Outdoor Classroom Day, we will also be sharing lots of outdoor lessons and where to go for ideas if your children’s schools are closed over the coming months.

Our Wild Walks are c. 2km long, about an hour, just right for a bit of exploring, playing and sharing, meeting other families and finding out more about getting outdoors here in Hackney.

Meet at 11am at Haggerston station. Bring weather appropriate clothing, water and snacks!

The walk is buggy/wheelchair accessible, about 2km in distance and lasts 1.5 hours with stops for play and snack.

Please let Cath know by email (cath@outdoorpeople.org.uk) or text (07813879179) if you plan on joining.

We have a supply of children's waterproof clothing available, so please get in touch with us if your child does not have waterproofs.
