Outdoor Family Camping 2016

Last summer, as part of our favourite Outdoor Family Camping programme, we took five excited families away for four days to the beautiful woodlands behind Green Farm Kent. For all the families, it was their first time camping as a family, and for some of them their very first holiday together. Everyone took away some new skills, some great memories and a lot of new freckles...

We’re on the way to plan our summer Family Camping trips and Hackney Wild Walk adventures – and we need volunteers! Why? To help the camping run smoothly, cook over the fire, put up a few tents, and help out with games and activities.

Lots and lots of families tell us they would like to go camping, but they don't have the right kit, don't know where to go, or can't afford to travel ... Outdoor People's aim is to make the outdoors easy, and Outdoor Family Camping does just that. It's basically the point of our social enterprise.
