Get ready for an adventure from the newly refurbished St Jude's Street Garden children's playground, a short hop from Dalston Kingsland station, through to Newington Green and on to the award-winning Shakespeare Walk Adventure Playground.
We will have some microscopes to look closely at what we can see, but the main mission for today is to explore some of the playgrounds in this corner of Hackney - a newly refurbished one, an old and loved play space and a beloved staffed Adventure Playground.
There is also a statue for a famous feminist...
The practical bits
Perfect for all ages and buggy-friendly, this walk is a great way to see our home, Hackney, in a new way.
When: Saturday 13th June at 10:45 am, aiming to set off at 11.
Where: Meet in Mabley Green playground (link to Google Maps).
Please book a ticket for each of you joining, and let us know how many children will be with you, just so we can plan for volunteers.
If you want more time at the first playground where we are meeting, do get there early. At the end you can stay to eat your picnic and explore the adventure playground.
All families are welcome to come along. Well-behaved dogs (on leads!) and friends are also welcome.

This starting point is near Dalston Kingsland, with an overground and lots of buses.
Bring a snack/drinks for yourself and your family, and dress for the weather on the day. We'll bring extra snacks and a big picnic blanket in expectation of good weather!
