This is our summer special, a chance to meet up with friends from previous walks, camps and events, and meet new Outdoor People!
Get ready for an adventure from Hackney Churchyard Playground, via a 13th-century church, Turner Prize architecture, and on to Hackney Central Station, where we board the train for Hampstead (Outdoor People will pay for the adults joining; children are, of course, free). We will get off at Gospel Oak and explore into the heart of Hampstead, up Parliament Hill to one of the best views in London, and then down to Hampstead Heath Station and home...
We will stop for a picnic and kite flying, tree climbing and at least two playgrounds...
Join our chief explorer, Cath, and encourage your kids to be chief explorers as they help us lead a mile-long adventure AND get to go on a train!
Make friends, learn from each other and connect with nature!
Perfect for all ages and buggy-friendly, this walk is a great way to discover the wonderful outdoors on offer in London!
The practical bits
When: Saturday 8th October at 10:45 am, aiming to set off at 11.
Where: Meet at Hackney Churchyard Gardens Playground (link to Google Maps).
Please book a ticket for each of you joining, and let us know how many children will be with you, just so we can plan for volunteers.
All families are welcome to come along. Well-behaved dogs (on leads!) and friends are also welcome.

This starting point is near Hackney Central station. Alternatively, you can meet us at Gospel Oak about 11:30. A live link will be shared on the WhatsApp Group on the day.
Bring a picnic, snack and drinks for yourself and your family, and dress for the weather on the day. We'll bring extra snacks and a big picnic blanket in expectation of good weather! This is a longer walk, as it is 20 minutes on the train, with an estimated return time of 2pm
