This mellow, feel-good stew tastes like it’s come straight from an Italian nonna’s kitchen. It's based on Ribollita, a hearty dish popular among Tuscany's traditional farming communities. Warming flavours combine in a slow-cooked sauce with cannellini beans, plenty of cavolo nero and Dorset sourdough bread to soak up the juices. It’s protein-rich, fibre-packed, and easy on the palate after a long day. One of our Firepot kitchen favourites, this vegan stew will make meat-eaters realise what they’re missing out on. Perfect after a long hike, if you are minimising weight and fuss or if you are somewhere where wildlife eating your dinner will be a problem... Also great for festivals!
Clear instructions regarding water levels and cooking options are on the back of the pouch. The foil in the Standard Waterproof packaging allows for the meal to be prepared without the use of a pan. You simply pour in boiling water up to the right level, stir, reseal and let stand for a few minutes. With the compostable packaging you simply prepare the food in a pan with water, stir and enjoy. Either way you get a warm tasty meal that doesn't use up your gas or firewood.
