A firm favourite of all the team, and one of our founding products, Ghillie Kettles allow you to boil water as quick as an electric kettle simply using twigs, dry leaves and whatever else you find lying around! They will light up and get you your cuppa in all sorts of harsh weather conditions.
The Ghillie Kettle won my heart when camping in Wales and I could get 16 wet and cold campers tea, coffee and hot chocolate quicker than I could have in my own kitchen. At festivals it has meant I can wash as well as have morning tea, and the kids with us love it. With 3 different sizes available, the kettles are able to cater for all needs.
This is the biggest Kettle, beloved of Forest Schools, outdoor nurseries, Scouts and Guides, and adventurous families, and of Outdoor Families when we camp at Green Farm!
- Handmade in the UK
- Lightweight aluminium construction
- Boil water efficiently and quickly, using foraged materials from the outdoors will boil in as little as 3 minutes!
- Capacity: The Adventurer 1400ml (5 Mugs, approx 2.5 pints)
Basic Instructions: Fill your Ghillie Kettle with water through the spout. Light a small fire in the base (you can use a sheet of newspaper, cotton wool or stale doritos (!) to start it, followed by small twigs or cones). Put the kettle on to the base, more fuel can be added through the top when necessary. The water in the double skin surrounding the chimney boils quickly as heat from the fire passes up the centre. Once the kettle has boiled, use the handle and the chain from the cork to help you pour the water safely.
