No need to even think about what stove and pot will work for your lightweight outdoor adventures: We did the thinking for you with this versatile Crux Weekend HE Cook System that will keep a well-fed smile on your face. Weighing in at an ultralight 358g total, the package includes our feather light Crux cooking wonder, plus the entire super light Weekend HE Cook Set with two pieces of cookware: A pot with pour spout and a tough-as-nails fry pan (that doubles as a pot lid). A simple mesh carry bag packs it right and tight, magically finding space inside for a 220g gas cartridge.

While we're not totally convinced about the ecological friendliness of fuel canister stoves in general, we do have to admit that they really are the lightest and most convenient cook systems and are perfect for lightweight back-packing and bike-packing adventures.

None more so than the Optimus Crux. It is unbelievably light at only 83g and the large burner means it boils water even faster and more efficiently than the industry's darling: MSR PocketRocket. The wide arms on the burner mean that pans are nice and stable and the controls allow for really easy simmering temperatures. You really couldn't ask for more.

I've been using one consistently for 5 years on multiple camping holidays and also as an extra hob when i'm cooking for lots of friends. That longevity gives this stove the eco-points it needs.
