Since it's half term, we thought we'd have a walk AND a picnic! For this walk we will explore the area around Victoria park find a secret spot for a picnic and after we will play some of our favourite games!
Date: Tuesday 23 October
Time: 11am
Meeting point: The Chinese Pagoda on Victoria Park
We can help you figure out your journey to Victoria Park if you need, please just ask!
The walk will be about 2km long, perfect for 3-7 year olds, along with lunch and games we will be out for around 2-3 hours. If you need to leave earlier you are more than welcome to. All families will receive a map of the walk and an Outdoor Family Journal to record memories of your outdoor adventures.
We will provide some picnic foods but we recommend everyone brings snacks too - feel free to bring things to share! We recommend you bring water and warm and waterproof clothing provided by Muddy Puddles. We have a supply of children's waterproof clothing available, so please get in touch with us if your child does not have waterproofs.
We do have limited numbers, so please RSVP to beth@outdoorpeople.org.uk to reserve a spot for you and your family. Given the limited space, please do let us know if your circumstances change and you are unable to join us. Please also provide us with a contact number (in case you can't find us) and any special needs or dietary requirements.
PS we are raising funds to have wellies, wet weather gear and waterproof maps here: https://www.gofundme.com/family-wild-walks-and-camping
