Zoom Versa Rocket Stove Power Ring

  • Sale
  • £12

To cook up a storm...insulate your pot! The power ring, aka 'pot skirt', keeps the heat around your pots and not gone with the wind.

This nifty gadget increases the efficiency of your EcoZoom rocket stove by up to 25% by just encircling your pot. You simply fasten the metal ring around the bottom of your straight sided pot or pan before setting it on top of your stove. The Power Ring forces the heat to be transferred from the combustion chamber of the stove to not only the bottom of your pot/pan, but also the the sides of your cookware.

So you get your dinner faster, and you use less wood or charcoal. Result!

About Ecozoom:

EcoZoom is a social enterprise and certified B Corporation that makes clean burning, portable wood and charcoal powered cookstoves. They believe cooking should be healthy, efficient and eco-friendly for cooks around the globe. Billions of people in developing countries do not have access to electricity and gas. They cook with biomass and often on unhealthy and inefficient fires. Women spend hours daily gathering fuel which excludes them from other activities. Families can spend up to 30% of their monthly income on fuel, forcing them into energy poverty. Environmentally, fuel production contributes significantly to deforestation. EcoZoom cookstoves offer a solution that is healthy, efficient and eco-friendly! They are currently selling these stoves in  Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana, Somalia, South Africa, Mexico, Papua New Guinea, Pakistan and India. They also sell across the US, Canada and Europe, Japan and South Korea. The later countries in the most part subsidise the former.

These stoves are perfect for outdoor cooking, camping or for emergencies. Unlike other outdoor cooking methods, these stoves don't rely on gas fuel or lengthy preparation (like a barbecue). They are more robust than many other rocket stoves on the market. They use firewood, charcoal or solid biomass and have a lifetime of more than 5 years. Fuel efficient, durable and safe to use. They are fun to use and, yes, look great.
