This is my husband's favourite bit of camping kit - delivering the ability to boil up outdoors as fast as an electric kettle, but just with sticks and twigs picked up from wherever you are! It won my heart when camping in Wales and I could get 16 wet and cold campers tea, coffee and hot chocolate quicker than i could have in my own kitchen. At festivals it has meant I can wash as well as have morning tea, and the kids with us love it. The F4 is perfect for a family group, the F2 for couples or small groups and the F1 is perfect when travelling solo.
- Made in England
- Lightweight aluminium construction
- Boil water efficiently and quickly, using foraged materials from the outdoors will boil in as little as 3 minutes!
- Capacity: 500ml (1 Mugs, approx 0.9 pint); 800ml (2 Mugs, approx 1.4 pints); 1500ml (4 Mugs, approx 2.5 pints)
Basic Instructions; Fill your Storm Kettle with water through the spout. Light a small fire in the base (you can use a sheet of newspaper, cotton wool or stale doritos (!) to start it, followed by small twigs or cones). Put the kettle on to the base, more fuel can be added through the top when necessary. The water in the double skin surrounding the chimney boils quickly as heat from the fire passes up the centre. Once the kettle has boiled, use the handle and the chain from the cork to help you pour the water safely. The F1 has either a red or black neoprene jacket with a handle to pour the boiling water.
