Ghillie Kettle

Ex- Display Hard Anodised Camping Fire Kettle

  • Sale
  • £55

Hard anodised double-walled wood burning kettles. Ghillie Kettles allow you to boil water as quick as an electric kettle simply using twigs, dry leaves and whatever else you find lying around! They will light up and get you your cuppa in all sorts of harsh weather conditions.

The Ghillie Kettle won my heart when camping in Wales and I could get 16 wet and cold campers tea, coffee and hot chocolate quicker than I could have in my own kitchen. At festivals it has meant I can wash as well as have morning tea, and the kids with us love it. With 3 different sizes available, the kettles are able to cater for all needs.

They are all made of hard anodised aluminium, providing a thicker, stronger coating and making them about 2-4 times stronger than treating with the normal anodising process. This also makes the kettles scratch resistant and easier to clean.

  • Handmade in the UK
  • Lightweight aluminium construction, hard anodised
  • Boil water efficiently and quickly, using foraged materials from the outdoors will boil in as little as 3 minutes!

The Maverick 500ml (1 Mugs, approx 0.9 pint);

The Explorer - 1ltr (3 mugs, approx 1.75 pints)

The Adventurer 1420ml (4 Mugs, approx 2.5 pints)

Basic Instructions: Fill your Ghillie Kettle with water through the spout. Light a small fire in the base (you can use a sheet of newspaper, cotton wool or stale doritos (!) to start it, followed by small twigs or cones). Put the kettle on to the base, more fuel can be added through the top when necessary. The water in the double skin surrounding the chimney boils quickly as heat from the fire passes up the centre. Once the kettle has boiled, use the handle and the chain from the cork to help you pour the water safely.

Here's a YouTube video to show how simple it is!
