Who doesn't love dal and rice? Add some mango chutney or a bit of hot sauce, and maybe a tin of pale ale or some hot chai...
This hearty, warming meal is made from five kinds of lentils, simmered with onion, garlic, cumin and chilli. Combined with basmati rice, spinach and garam masala, finished with chopped coriander and a squeeze of lemon juice.
This meal is cooked in Dorset from the best ingredients and then quickly dehydrated so it keeps forever, then just add boiling water and boom, dinner.
Perfect for camping, festivals or just when you can't be bothered to cook...
The foil packaging allows for the meal to be prepared without the use of a pan – you simply pour in boiling water up to the right level, stir, reseal and let stand for a few minutes. You can also pour it out and cook on the stove by just bringing it to the boil and then letting it stand - so it doesn't use up your gas or firewood.
These meals are a hearty meal for one or enough to be shared (especially if you pack in some naan or make yourself some damper)
