Traditional Indian tiffins are the perfect way to carry lunch or picnics. I use mine often to pick up dinner from local take-aways, saving plastic containers.

The term 'tiffin' is used in parts of Britain and India to mean a light meal or snack. In some areas, the word specifically refers to lunches brought to work or school. The square and oblong tins are just right for a snack or light meal or for getting street-food at festivals and food markets, saving that little bit more of waste and rubbish.

They are safe to use on the stove top, in the oven, and even on your camping stove!

And they starred in a rather lovely film recently...
