What if... we made outdoor classrooms the new norm?
As head teachers in the UK wrestle with the whether, when and how of reopening their schools, they are having to drastically rethink the school day and the learning environment. Can I go outside?
For now, parks and green spaces are open, so people can get a crucial hour outdoors. Thankfully, the message is that a daily connection to nature – even if that is from your window or just outside your door – remains a crucial part of our collective wellbeing. So, follow the rules on social distancing: stay local, only go out once a day by yourself or with your family group, and don't go out if you feel unwell.
Whatever you're doing... it's enough
It's time to take a breath, take stock and let things percolate. The last weeks may well have brought a lot of emotions to the surface. Perhaps anxiety and doubt, maybe a little guilt if you feel you're not coping with homeworking or homeschooling. But one way to stay grounded, keep your head above water and keep healthy is to #NoticeNature.
